According to the officer who took the picture, said that he intended only to capture the landscape, and by surprise and unaware of the rare presence that hovered in the area, take the picture and it was not until I see the photograph carefully where realized that the anomaly had left.

The Seductive Rihanna

Rihanna was asked to leave a mosque in Abu Dhabi after shooting a seductive series of snaps outside the religious building.

Although her modesty was covered, the star angered officials at the building by refusing to ask permission to use the location for the shoot, which featured her lying next to a water feature and with her hands on her hips as worshippers passed by.

Now it has emerged the star was asked to leave the mosque after breaking its strict rules.

A statement from officials to Middle Eastern newspaper The National Post reads, "In the event of behaviour that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations - such as taking inappropriate pictures, posing in ways that are improper in the context of sacred place, talking loudly, or eating - the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilisational (sic) and tolerant attributes of Islam.

Shark Fisherman

Last Sunday, an 11-foot hammerhead shark took Adam Fisk, a Florida Atlantic University student, for a two-hour, 30mph afternoon tow along the Atlantic coast in his kayak. Fisk recorded the tag-along on a head-mounted GoPro camera and later posted the five minute video on YouTube so he could show his friends his adventure.

Fisk also accounted for the event on his Facebook profile with the following remarks:I took a South Florida sleigh ride today and I aint talkin Santa Claus, and Hooked a hammerhead in 50ft water and got drug out to 250ft.

As a member of Team Rebel Fishing, Fisk is accustomed to extreme angling, and according to his Facebook posts, he has caught many large sharks, as depicted in his profile pics. He set out Sunday with a few poles as usual, but he quickly realized his fishing trip was taking an unexpected turn. He said he suspected the hammerhead must have been sitting directly below his kayak. As he was going about a fisherman’s business of tossing out bait and untangling lines, the hammerhead attached to one of his dropped baits and started swimming. The shark picked up the line near Boynton Beach, Florida, and it is estimated Fisk and his kayak were led on a 12 mile tow out to sea, lasting nearly two hours.

“I’ve hooked sharks, but not that big and never on purpose,” Fisk told the Palm Beach Post. “It was about 11-foot and my kayak is about 12.”

Like a Wrecking Ball: Miley Cyrus at Harvard

Don’t get too excited, but if Mark J. Mauriello ’15, creator and director of “Julie Cooper: Genesis Prayer,” has his way, Miley Cyrus will make be making an appearance on Harvard’s campus sometime this week.

Mauriello’s production, “Julie Cooper: Genesis Prayer,” tackles the modern dilemmas of celebrity pop culture.

“We’re not really sure where the distinctions are between person and persona..they become icons, almost in a religious sense, like Beyoncé is God,” Mauriello said.

Enter Miley #twerkprince$$. The inspiration to start a MILEY at HARVARD campaign complete with a Twitter account, came from the fact that Mauriello’s production deals with the leap from fiction to fantasy, and “people who were characters, who were caricatures,” he said. There was also “amazing inspiration from the bring Raven Symone to Harvard campaign.”

De la que entraba al gran recinto agropecuario en las afueras de Colmenar Viejo, vi un animal que me llamó la atención. Fue el protagonista de mis primeras fotos. Se trataba de un ejemplar  de siete años llamado Indio J.T. 1º, perteneciente a la Yeguada Juan Tirado, de Trujillo. Quedé admirado de la planta y carácter vivo de aquel ejemplar. Si así son todos, me dije, esto va a estar estupendo.

Fueron fotos tras fotos a diestra y siniestra, hasta casi trescientas. Todos los animales eran dignos de formar un almanaque. A la hora de la final me fui hacia las gradas y tomé posición para ir fotografiando a los ganadores. Una rápida ojeada a los caballos agrupados en la categoría de los machos adultos y mis ojos se prendaron de inmediato de un ejemplar blanco, brillante, soberbio en su estampa, de paso majestuoso y porte altivo.Ese es el campeón, comenté en voz alta. Un señor a mi lado se volteó y me preguntó, riendo: -¿Eso piensas? -Sin dudas -le dije. -¿Y cual crees que será el subcampeón? Miré todo el grupo y respondí: -Ese puesto creo que está más reñido, todos tienen una estampa de película; pero me inclino por el Indio. El hombre se rió a carcajadas y me dijo que pronto lo sabríamos.
